“You Can’t Stop the Waves, but You Can Learn to Surf” – Jon Kabat Zinn

At the outset of 2022, it seems like the waves are still rolling in;

Colder weather than we are used to in some parts of Canada, more rain in others.

More lockdowns with the Omicron variant

Beleaguered staff who struggle to bring their best attitude to their work every day

Right now I’m constantly reminding myself of Jon Kabat Zinn’s quote. How I respond to all of this is completely up to me.

While I am not sticking my head in the sand about this continued disruption, I can choose how much of it to focus on each day. Reading the news rarely makes me find any new strategies to cope effectively. Talking about it doesn’t give me more energy for my clients, my family, or myself.

It’s when I talk to other business owners about their Vision, like I did with my Dream Team https://www.dreamteamconsulting.ca/about-us/ last week, that I get inspired, more motivated to serve others, and to stay focussed on my business vision.

Right now, my best advice is to focus on your 2022 Vision, and keep riding the waves.
